Behr is a great example of how a rottweiler male should be with excellent structure, a perfect head, good bone and beautiful markings. Behr is a large dog standing 26″ tall at the withers and a lean weight of 120lb.
Behr is not an aggressive dog, we define an aggressive dog as one who is overly reactive for no good reason. However Behr is a strong protection dog and a good guard dog. He’s had protection training, is alert and reacts aggressively to disturbances on his property. You and yours will be safe when he’s around. That said he needs an experienced hand, this is not a lap dog or a dog to take to the dog park.
He stays mostly outdoors but has difficulty (as many rottweilers do) in the hot Florida summer. So during the hottest summer months we keep him inside.
Behr gets along fine with females and male dogs that don’t challenge him. Not sure about other animals as we never had them around. If you do he can be trained as any dog to respect other animals under your care. He’s playful, spray him with a garden hose and he’ll jump around trying to grab the water. Overall a solid healthy dog mentally and physically.
